Talking with Grandma

Eily had a fun time talking with Grandma Robin on the phone. She told her that she had on her "pink Crocs" and that Daddy's new nickname for her is "booger". She blew her kisses and said love you. It was so sweet!!!!

Growing...Growing...Growing...

Eily's is growing by leaps and bounds everyday. She loves Dora, playing with her baby dolls, blocks and in her sandbox. Her favorite things to say (currently) are "Audame" (spanish for help...thank you Dora and Diego) and "of course!"

She seems to somewhat know that there is a "baby in mommy's tummy" and will point to it and even gave it a kiss, all on her own, the other day.

We think she will be a good sister to her baby brother and she loves to say "baby boy"!

Our (soon to be) baby boy, Cavan Gabriel is growing too! At the last appointment he was actually measuring big (almost 2 weeks) and he sure is an active one. He just loves to kick!!!

I appologize for the lack of updates, this pregnancy has been very rough and I've had some issues to work through; however, I hope to play catch up a little bit and get some posts up that will show some of the fun things we've done...

Foot Loose and Passy Free!

It has been over a month since Eily gave up her pacifier (aka Pass). It was a big thing for her and we are so proud of how well she has done. She only used it for sleepy time or occasionally if she was very upset, but it was a part of her routine and she loved it. We had been looking for signs and she really seemed ready. She had a couple of nights were she woke up and seemed like she was missing something but in her sleepy haze really didn't know what. On about day 3 she pointed to the cupboard (she knew they were kept there) and asked for it, at which I had to quickly decide whether or not I should explain it or just distract her. I decided she should know the truth, and showed her that the space was empty and told her they were all gone. She was upset for a few seconds but I then said lets go find purple cat (her replacement comfort item) and she was fine! We thought it she would of missed it more, but really she took her nap without it one day and just never looked back. She is such a big girl now!

Kick Kick Kick

Eily had another great swimming lesson, and boy is she getting good at kicking! When her instructor watched her and she was very impressed! Way to go Eily! At he beginning of each class, the kids pick a toy and then have to swim and go get it. Eily loves this part, but the only hard thing is, that she (or any of the other kids) don't want to give it up. Another skill they work on is getting out of the pool. The parent puts the toy on the side of the pool and then the child has to climb out and get it. Eily thinks this is ok, but she likes jumping in much better! Her favorite toy had been a blue spiky ball...that was until she laid her eyes on...you guessed it a purple frog! Ha ha! Eily thought it was the neatest thing ever! She loves the color purple and also is into frogs at the moment, so it made her little day! Eily really loves her class and is making lots of new friends and having tons of fun!

Check out some neat video's of Eily kicking and getting out of the pool!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Well, I had found some cute little valentine's that I was going to have Eily color on...but I totally forgot to send them out in time (I am still not used to having to send things out so far ahead of time). Ooops! Oh well, I guess we will have to save them for next year! Thank goodness for e- cards! Here are some pictures of Eily opening her valentine treats from her Grammy Robin!

Here is a cute little poem/ song that Eily and I am going to work on today.

I'm A Little Valentine

I'm a little valentine
Red and White
With ribbons and lace
I'm a beautiful sight
I can say, "I Love You"
On Valentine's Day
Just put me in an envelope
And give me away

Pictures and video of Eily's latest swimming lesson will be up soon....this girl is getting good at kicking!

A Play-Doh Kind of Day

Today Eily's activity was to play with Play-Doh and she ( and me too) had lots of fun! She really got into using all the cutters and tools, including a little toy fork and knife from her kitchen. I had so much fun just watching her experiment and figure things out, I could see her little mind just ticking away.
At first I told her that she could make spaghetti with the orange garlic press like tool, but that confused her and she thought she could eat it! Lol! She did not like the taste at all! So then we called it "snakes" as she knows the sign and word for snake from Signing Time. Here are some pretty neat action shots!

She was so proud of herself!

Happy (belated) Birthday Aunt Judy!

Eily wants to wish her favorite Aunt Judy a Happy Birthday! Hope you had a great day! We miss you and can't wait to (hopefully) see you soon! Here are some pictures just for you!

In Eily news, she is doing great except for she has a bit of a cold. Poor girl has been sneezing and her nose was running quite a bit yesterday. Today though it is more on the stuffy side. I am wondering if it could maybe even be more like an allergy or her even teeth, she is working on those pesky eye teeth still. I know my allergies have flared up a bit...so who knows? I will just have to see what she does. So far it is pretty mild and she is mostly her happy self.

I'm Stuck

Eily has a new game. She learned the world stuck and loves to say it and "make herself stuck" She will crawl under the kitchen table and chairs and say "I stuck" and they climb out. It is halarious! She takes so much pride in being stuck and then being able to get herself out. She likes it if you say "oh you are stuck" but she does not want you to help her! Ha ha! She will even put her teddy bear under there and say he is stuck too. It really is cute, and I was able to luckily catch some of it on video.
