It's a bird, it's a plane, it's a... what the heck is that?

It is a Large Cargo Freighter! Can you believe that thing flies? The LCF, now named the Dreamlifter, is a converted 747 airplane designed to carry whole sections of the new 787 Dreamliner around the world for assembly. Cool huh! We were driving home, and I just happend to have the camera and was able to take these great pictures. The thing is gigantic, and it literally looked like it was just above the power lines and coming straight for us! It was wild! Right now it is green, which is just the primer. It will be painted and then look like THIS

Since it was such a beautiful and clear day, we also decided to take a little detour and gett some pictures of the mountains! It really is beautiful here!

Jumpin In- Swimming lesson #2

Eily had her second swimming lesson again on Saturday. She had lots of fun despite the fact that she woke up on the wrong side of the crib that morning and was a bit whiney. We did the same activities but there were some new parents and kids that were not there last week so that was fun. I hope this week we do learn some new skills because Eily is ready. Enjoy the pictures and video (please bare with me on the video posting I am still working on figuring it out) :)

Can you tell if there is anything different about Eily in the pictures...she got a haircut! It is kind of hard to tell when it is wet but trust me it is shorter! Her bangs were in her eyes and it was driving her and me crazy (I try to put it up but she of course rips it out). This is her third haircut and so far she has cried everytime althought this time she did much better and just kept on shaking her head and saying "nooooo". It turned out pretty cute but it is a little shorter in the back than I wanted it. Oh well it is out of her eyes, and she seems to like it. Now it is time for me to get mine cut, it hasn't been since August. Eeeeek!

Monkey Love

Eily has a new pal... a monkey named Soctates. He is not just any old stuffed monkey, he was hand crocheted by Eily's special internet auntie K! He resembles a sock monkey and sure is cute! Eily thinks he is really neat, and especailly likes his red scarf. He is a pretty lucky monkey, if you ask me. He now takes naps with Eily, goes for rides in her shopping cart or bike, gets drinks from a toy baby bottle and even has dancing lessons! He also gets lots of hugs and kisses too! Eily's first lesson

Eily is now taking swimming lessons at the YMCA (we got a family membership) and boy does she love it! This girl is a fish! She loves the water and cries when it is time to get out, despite the fact that she is starting to shiver and get purple lips from being cold (it is a heated pool but is not that warm). The class is a parent-child class and is actually lots of fun. We all get into a big circle and sing songs while doing little exercises to help get the kids used to the water, then we go to the side of the pool and the kids practice pushing off the side and jumping in and such. We also go during the week to swim and work out, so if you are having trouble reaching us....we might be there! Here are some pictures of her first lesson.
